Colour – Bright and youthful garnet with an opaque plum core.

Nose – Mocha and coffee notes initially with a slight undertone of complimentary herbaceous notes. There are masses of dark fruits reminiscent of cherries and ripe intense berries. This is complimented with coconut and mocha notes, derived from oak maturation. Very well handled oak that is complimentary to the fruit and by no means overriding the vibrant primary fruit. 

Palate – Full bodied, dry and clean. Again the opening is a burst of very intense cherry, plum fruit. There are notes of chocolate and coconut, giving a cherry ripe likes character. The oak is again complimentary of the fruit and supports it without being overzealous. The intense berry fruits are very persistent and have a concentration that is indicative of this variety and provides exceptional length on the palate. The wine finished with youthful tannins that will soften in time, however are very well balanced with the other critical aspects of the wines structure.

Overall a wine with great depth and intensity of fruit flavours, balanced oak tannins that has a persistent and intense length.
